Parthiv Patel is a former Indian professional cricketer known for his impressive skills as a wicketkeeper-batsman. Rising to fame in 2002, he became the youngest wicket-keeper to represent a country in Test cricket at just 17 years and 153 days. Despite losing a finger at the age of nine, Patel's dedication and hard work allowed him to excel both domestically and internationally. In domestic cricket, Parthiv led Gujarat to their first-ever Ranji Trophy win in the 2016-17 season, becoming the first captain to win all three major domestic titles in India. He played for multiple franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL), including Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Notably, he helped Mumbai Indians secure the IPL title during his tenure. After announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket in December 2020, Parthiv joined Mumbai Indians as a Talent Scout and transitioned into a successful commentator role for the IPL and international matches.
